ECAL2007 Concept Map
The Map was elaborated by Janet Wiles, based on the titles and abstracts of all the papers presented to the conference. Our deep thanks to Janet for a very interesting and useful tool.
The map can be explored interactively. Here's some things to try:
1. Underneath the map are sliders. Set the # points slider to 1% and the
Theme Size to 50%. It will show 7 overarching concepts drawn from the
conference abstracts.
2. Set the Theme size to 0%. Gradually increase the # points from 1% to
18%. It will show the most frequent concepts in the conference abstracts.
3. Click on any node of interest in the map. The panel to the right of the
map will show the words that co-occur with the chosen word. Click on the
button to the left of the co-occurrence word, and a new window will apear,
listing URLs that will take you to places where the words co-occur in the
abstracts. Click on the URLs to examine the text.
